Best method to remove 16V intake emblem?
After several attempts at repainting the crest/emblem on the spider intake, they all looked like crap. So I ordered a new one to install.
it looks like most guys just used epoxy to install. But what is the best method to remove the old crest? Pry it off with a screwdriver? Apply heat from a butane torch? My intake is finished pretty nicely, powder coated by the previous owner, so I don't want to gouge it up prying the old emblem off. |

This blade putty knife. Take sharp razor and trace the emblem carefully. Then tape off around it with masking tape. Take a putty knife and small hammer and it should break free

Do it with the engine hot. Comes off easier.

And don't use epoxy to glue on the new one. A dab of high temp silicon works just fine and if you ever decide to remove it, it's much easier to deal with.

Thanks guys. Everything worked well.
