I experienced a similar accident a few years ago, I was stopped at a red light, kid with a Mazda Miata on cell wasn't paying attention, ran into my '85 white 928. His Miata got the worst of it by far, my bumper was pushed in on r/h side. I had to replace the shock strut, and one rear bumper next to licence plate. The bumper cover was re-usable. These 928's are built like Panzer Tanks!

I was parked and had a JEEP reverse all the way ontop my '82 nose, they came off and then they mistakenly left the JEEP and went about their business.....I came and I saw and I verified the cause of damage.......it took a while to get my feet back on the ground...........!
(I really don't remember what happened next) |
I had a similar incident with my s4. Damage looked very small. Had the car sent to the porsche approved bodyshop and they had a new bumper panel installed as they refuse to repaint them as they cannot guarantee to work. Cost thousands, picked up by the other cars insurance.
Also if the other guys insurance is picking this up then try and get a new set of rear lights out of it. There are bound to be hairline cracks in them that could easily be caused by the impact. |
Imre...sent ya a PM.
