Default Removing front and rear window trim help

Hi guys, I am looking for help removing the trim at the top of the windscreen and the trim round the rear window.

Is is there an easy way to unclip it?

Thanks

The front is nearly impossible to unclip without levering against the windscreen glass....which can EASILY crack the GLASS !!!! If you pull on it very much it bends and badly so somewhat of a dilemma unless you are fitting new glass.

Use a plastic right angle lever, very carefully. Pry away from window, or put a force perpendicular to window surface. There are teeth spaced out every 8 in or so and that's where you need to apply force. For the rear, take off corner pieces first, they are held on with clips. Then the rear trim pulls away from the window. The trim is just held in by a groove that runs along the window seal.

Before removing front window trim expose the top trim piece by sliding the small covers up or down.

Perhaps with some kind of home made tool with a sort of reverse end on it you could pry the top WS trim off from the front but without levering against the glass, but rather against the car top just aft of the glass and trim. Put some kind of padding on the car top to avoid marring the paint. Use a knife edge of some sort under the front of the top trim to locate exactly where the clips are and lever only at those points.
