Rear quarter window sealant?
Hi Guys
Could someone advise what type of sealant to use on the rear quarter windows?
I assume it's not windscreen bonding seal as the rubber seal looks like it should be providing (largely) a water tights seal
I am presuming some form of panel / window sealant is used - this is generally non setting and easier to remove than windscreen bonding?
Also is there a special tool used to help insert the plastic trim that fits into the rubber seal?
Thanks
Marti

Both the rear quarters I have worked with had sealant on them, they were an S4 and GTS so I just presumed that a sealant was standard.
I think I will go with the sealant (non setting type) as opposed to the bonding type.

I have always seen butyl used in conjunction with the rubber on all 928s with exception of the very early cars.
