Ok... Are there any heat dissipation issues in that amp storage area? 300W is a lot of power. I bought a mini power amp for a small subwoofer and I'll be using a heat sink for that little amp.
No issues to date and it's been installed for 2 years. However I'm not driving a sub and don't have it at maximum volume all the time. I have JBL 4" speakers up front and Infinity 6" in rear with the JBL 4" all the way in the back.
+1 for the Focal KRS100's. Installation was very straight forward and it was easy to use the stock grills for woofer and tweeter; only the tweeter requiring some dremel work to the original mounting plate to fit. No depth issue. Looks great and sounds good.
Wanted to update this topic as I make glacier like progress. Used my dremel to fit the tweeter. Needed a longer metric screw to reach the speaker brace.
Stock screw on grills still work.

I test fit the panel to a parts car here. The screws that came with the kit are too long. The hit the inside door. When fitted with original screws did not interfere..
1.) Nice radio. Did SW provide you a jack on the back of the radio for the iPod connector? Or, did he soldier the cable straight to the platine inside the radio?
2.) The MB Quartz cross-over looks pretty nice. But, when I compare it to the one Hans made, it just reminds me what an outstanding job he did...
3.) CDT looks like a pretty good company. I was on their website a couple months ago. I love marketing statements like "Euro engineering, California design," though.
4.) Finally, looks like a great installation, hardware and handywork!

Stefan provided all the parts and did the modification. As soon as you turn your source on it uses it. Identical to how the cassette works. I have been using Stefan's services for over 15 years.
No doubt that Hans does amazing work. I have the last generation illuminated window switch console in one one of my cars.
