Cup II 17/18 Staggered Wheel Set FS
Thought I'd put this here vice the classifieds to give my 928 friends first dibs... not that anyone else would want this setup. It looks cool on a 928, particularly S4+. I opted to go for Cup Is, thus the sale.
FS - 17/18" Staggered Cup II wheel/tire setup. Tires are Sumitomo HTRZ III with late 2014 manufacture dates, barely 1000 miles on them and have been stored inside.... i.e. more or less new. Fronts are 235/45 and rears are 285/35. All are balanced and ready to mount. All 4 wheels were recently painted so that they all match. They do not come with center caps.
Front wheels are semi-rare 8x17 ET70 993 winter wheels, part # 993 362 126 01. I bought these from a wheel restoration place. I don't know how much, if any, repairing they did, but they look nice, are straight and have fresh paint.
Rears are Mille Miglia Cup II replicas in 10x18, ET47. These were not so pretty when I bought them, so I had them straightened, repaired and refinished.... twice. The first place did a poor job with the curb rash repair, so I had another place fix their damage... mostly. Each wheel has a spot on the rim edge that is not quite perfect. You have to look very closely to see the flaws, but they're there.
$1750 for the set shipped INCONUS.
I'm only offering them as a set (Coral Red GT not included).
Please PM if interested.
Thanks.

Boy, the car looks great with those rims. My favorite rim on the later model 928's, there rounded edges fit the more rounded edges of the later cars in my opinion. The Cup 1's are nice, too...but have sharper edges...that compliment the older body style.
Of course...if you were to post a picture of the new rims on your car...it may change my mind...lol.
Good luck with sale, great looking rims and tires.
Brian.

That is a perfect set up. Did the same on my two 928's. Only issue is the 18 inch rears are pretty soft. The best wheel combo by far for a later 928.
Price is excellent as well. Those front factory wheels are rare as hens teeth.

Those do look nice! First set of wheels I put on my former '89 GT was a set of the Mille Miglia 18" Cup II's. I loved the look and the handling. Good luck with the sale.

I, too, endorse the staggered set (mine are 17 x 9 up front.) GLWS!

Seems to me that 265 is the max width under an S4 fender at the rear, no? How can you fit 285s under there? My 265s on 18" cup II wheels are maybe a finger's width away from rubbing the fenders.

They fit on my GT, which has the factory "rolled" fender lips.
The clearance wasn't super close, though, so I figured they'd fit an S4. I guess it may depend on the year, though. Eventually, I think they had the "rolled" lips on all GTs and S4s, but I don't know when that started.
Previously, I had 18x10 Carrera IIIs shod with 265s on the rear with a 21mm spacer... now that was close, but they didn't rub.

George those are still one of my all time favorite 928 wheel. Wish I could afford them, cause I'd be all over them. LOL.
