Don't be confusing us with all your technical mumbo jumbo.
I'm tellin' anyone who asks it's made with Kevlar - the same stuff used in bullet proof vests!
That's total gangstah, yo!
(Better add a smiley so somebody else doesn't get more hurty feelers.)

For me this belt is an extra layer of insurance. It's very, very rare for a belt to snap all by itself. Usually something else goes wrong and takes the belt with it, like a water pump locking up or a roller. In that situation I'm thinking (hoping) this belt will last a bit longer than a stock one giving you more time to realize something is wrong (temp gauge is climbing, smoke coming from under the hood etc..) and power down the engine before valves go clank.
Sorry BC, I started that list anticipating it would take a while to round up enough interest for Roger to justify another run. It took off so fast we reached enough interest for Roger to contact Gates so further updating it wasn't necessary.

No Jim, not even I would run a used belt. yes, rubber is rubber , but a belt has one function and a tire two. You seem to forget i can run a used tire, see that it is slow and then change to my other set. When a belt is bad, its going to hurt something other than my lap time by 1-2 seconds.

Well I received confirmation that the belts should ship today - I will be happier when I have a tracking number.
Good News!!! I got a better deal on them than before - I guess they are getting used to making them now.
New price for the next 100 is $129.95 each.

This all started when it was discovered the 944 crowed was buying the Gates racing belt for their cars. Roger didn't waste any time contacting Gates to have a 928 version produced:
