Default Steering Wheel Upgrade

Is there a preferred upgrade over stock?
Thank you.

Porsche 930, RS, and Club Sport wheels seem to be the more popular choices and what I'm looking for. IIRC, Roger carries them all. T

Here's how it looks inside the cabin. Feels great with better and thicker grip to the rim.

Here is what a Momo Millennium looks like. You can get them from Pelican parts and other sources. I really like the size (350mm) and the little grooves and nubs for daily driving.

Sorry Tony, but I can't seem to find the same product from this seller that I bought from last year. It came as a set, hub and steering wheel. The description stated that it was "GENUINE PORSCHE 928 / GT / GTS / S / S4 CLUB SPORT STEERING WHEEL BRAND NEW"

The emblem is embedded in the horn pad.

I have a Momo Race in the classifieds if you're interested. It's a great wheel.

Tony, After I purchased the steering wheel from ebay seller, I found this from Suncoast Porsche. Looks the same except for the center crest. Leather seams and all match my wheel. I remember the seller's description stating that it came from the same "Porsche steering provider" A--- company (I forgot what the name was, but it starts with A).

Hoi, That's looks like the one Roger carries. I want to go with the seamless type and a little bigger at 365mm. Thanks again. T

You can get the 928 Sport Steering wheel from Roger as well.

In an homage to GeorgeM, here's what his wheel looks like in my car:

I ended up getting a momo hub with the JWest eccentric adapter to put the wheel up and back slightly.
I came across an old red momo horn button... I figured it would look like a toy car with that installed in the center so I fabbed a black vinyl cover for it.
After that i was pleased, but I may have a one off made with the 928 embossed logo on it.

That looks nice, although I am unsure about something... wouldn't the eccentric adapter make the entire steering wheel move around? When you turn the steering wheel, say, 90 degres to one side, it doesn't simply rotate about its center but around a point below the physical center, making the entire steering wheel shift position and wobble... in the case of the 90 degree turn. the center would drop down and move to the side by the amount of the offset (like an inch or whatever the distance between the hub and steering wheel bolts is) and the sterring wheel rim would furthermore completely change the angle so that one side would now be noticeably closer than the other forcing you to extend one arm even more while you elbow yourself with the other? I'd also think that would make it a little less stable because any weight placed on it (like you resting your hands while holding it) would tend to push it down on either side as it now rests on the end of a lever. Or am I missing something?

On a different note - where did you get that aluminum shifter gate? Looks very interesting...

Carl used to sell the shift gates, I don't think they are available any more -- not that many of us, apparently, were ready for the look, shall we say.
I always loved the Italian look, soooo it works well for me, nice tight solid shift pattern too.
In terms of the eccentric, let's hope it doesn't work the way you describe, lol. I will let you know when I take it out tomorrow...
You are still turning the hub, same as before I would think. Just a hub 12mm longer and wheel set 18mm higher to see the gauges better, but for me I can also have more leg room.
