My '78 (0917) has two small holes in the ash tray cover. They look too clean to have been done by PO. Are they original and what should be attached?
Or was some past owner good with a drill?

I also have the '78 Car of the Year medallion on the console. Is that factory or added later? I really like a little bling (think maybe the left window switch has been replaced?).

Further, the texture on Jim's ashtray cover is smooth, where the rest of the console pieces have leather-grained texture. The cover surface looks low, suggesting that maybe there was a leather-grained cover over the whole thing at one time.

If that medallion is stock then it was installed AFTER a long lunch break
