Default Some Photos of My India Red '79 - 35k miles

Some of you guys asked for more pics. She's currently in the shop having work done (well hopefully, he hasn't made much /any progress in a full week).
- Alu to steel ball joint replacement (preventative)
- Lines replaced (preventative)
- New Timing belt (preventative)
- New Water pump (preventative)
- Oil leak diagnosis (minor, but consistent at long idle from passenger side just behind fan).
- New Plugs (last replaced 8 years ago)
- Slight idle surge diagnosis (may be fixed once belt / plugs are in)

Just want to drive her... but, doing the right thing by getting all this out the way I think...

Wow, beautiful 928!!

Do any of the records with the car indicate if the dash / center console are original? It looks awesome, but I didn't think stitched cork leather came in until a later year. I thought they were all vinyl.

With the mileage I'm assuming it's original, just curious.

The Authenticity Cert mentions 'Special Leather Interior /PK' , perhaps thats it? The history is fairly in-depth and there are no receipts for interior work.

JE, Rob and company can elaborate more on this, but that sounds like a custom ordered cork interior.

Very cool!!!

Very nice! May I ask which fuel lines you replaced and what high pressure lines you used? Greg Brown?, other?

Me, I'd change that radio out...for a nice aftermarket one...lol.

No, just kidding...don't let that baby ever part with the car.

I'm kind of wondering what the black stuff is along the inner fender lip?

That is one nice example, loved all of the pictures. Congratulations on a fine acquisition.

Brian.

Stunning example, well done. I even like the painted slats on the grill.

Great find and sensational looking example of such an iconic and wonderful Porsche! Colour combo is very nice. Good luck and enjoy such a great Porsche.

Cheers
