Well the moment of truth....... after a lot of cranking,
no oil pressure,
I had primed the pump with the STP,
and it had 9 qts. of oil in it, 20 W 50 Valvoline
I pulled the oil cooler top line, it was dry.
So I let it sit for 20 minutes and charged the battery,
cranked it again and now there is oil in the cooler, things are looking up...
Pulled cam tower plugs and an found oil coming from the journals,
still the gauge was O and the red light on.
So I installed the spark plugs and cranked it and it didnt sound good,
rechecked the CE panel and found the pump fuse was out,
DOH... so I swapped that in.
Cranked again no start and laboring.
Charged the battery for another 20 mins and rechecked the timing,
turns out the twin dizzy rotors should be centered to the hash marks.
Doh... off 1 tooth
After verifying the front dizzy,
I rechecked the rear dizzy and found 2 wires on the wrong posts,
I know no one is perfect....
Doh.... with the wires now on the correct posts.
I connected the battery and cranked it,
Well finally, ...... varooom,..... Bwaaa, wub , wub,, wubb
oil pressure went to 5 bar and the warning lights went out,
the idle is smooth and steady,
I got lots of smoke from the pipes from the all the coolant and oil from when it was not running so good,
that dissipated at it warmed up
Otherwise its nice to see what a fresh 928 engine does, and its almost ready for action,
a few more issues to deal with then its ready for the road.
Thanks to all the people that assisted me in the making of this machine back to road ready status,
Samanthas car was the hardest to make right.
For the people suggesting colors or lack of the intake is PC ed in Porsche silver with clear coat,
the fuel lines and oil fill are in metallic silver, cross bar is Gloss Black
fan bracket is a satin black epoxy coating from the PO.
Funny as I was lining up the hood I found the hood was hitting the top bleeder port on the radiator.
so that took another 2 hours of fitting and cutting to get the NPT nipple to sit lower into its hole,
now the hood closes without any drama

thanks for the kind words,
this car has so many other mods,
its nice to see the differences,
it has been treated to Dynamat on the floors and the doors ,
it is a quiet running car compared to my other Swiss Euro.
The AC blows cold

Congratulations Stan. Sort of like childbirth. Most of them have a few issues but as soon as you hear the baby cry all is forgotten.
