These auctions are great. Somebody stored the car (and all his tools). There are no keys, usually no pre-inspection beyond minutes of visual evaluation. In that time to decide on a a value, and the bidding starts. Was it running perfectly when it was parked there? How bad has it been, seven years stored in Hesperia. Cold enough for snow, hot in summer but not quite Death Valley hot. Was the coolant drained prior to storage? Transmission work OK? Varmints living inside? No title or registration paperwork, and many years of back fees due if it stays in California.
How much does it weigh?
What's it worth?

they have probably done a lien sale.....so a title can be obtained BUT BIG BUT back DMV fees would still apply and you need to get a California title with the lien sale paperwork other states rarely would accept it.....and to get the California title you must pay the back fees which can be hundreds of dollars or more...unless the prior owner filed for none operation and renewed it each and every year !!
But most people think "Storage Wars " is real
