Random in progress photos of the Red Witch
Hello Gentlemen,
Here are some photos I received today from Eduardo at Auto Assets. They are random in progress shots of the work performed.
Enjoy!
Note the excellent, non-impeller-milled surface of the block behind the water pump.
Thanks!

Must be a younger mechanic...I rarely, if ever, set anything on the floor anymore. It's bad enough having to bend over to pick up things I've dropped, let alone stuff I've placed there...lol.
Looks like you are getting things handled on the witch, keep up the good work.
Brian.

On another thread people were asking about the oil pump gear. It's pretty small in those pics, but doesn't look worn, from what I can tell. Of course, if it's the original aluminum gear, which I think it is (?) I have read there are some concerns with cracks developing. I didn't see any in mine though. Impossible to tell here. The replacements are steel.

The Deputy: Nope, not younger. Not terribly old, though been around the block a time or twelve.
Floor is acceptable when you run out of counter or work bench space. There was ALOT going on at Auto Assets when the Red Witch was going under the knife.
Thanks! I am glad they were able to take care of several issues. Granted, it cost me, but I don't have to worry about them now. That matters.
buccicone: Yep, glad to have Gary work on my 928.
bureau13: Good point, and I don't know. I will get a closer look this weekend when I do the AC work and check the belt tension.
Thanks guys!

I line the trunk with plastic and put all the parts inside the car I'm working on. When the truck k gets fuol, start using the rest of the interrior space as storage. This way they are not going to get kicked around by accident, stay cleaner and will stay with the car until they go back on the engine. Plus it frees up valuable floor space too. If that doesn't work, then Jeep all the parts in boxes and out of the way but never on the ground like in the picture. Then again, my projects take a long time to complete.

I know what you mean. I work out of a two bay carport with attached workshop. Parts for whatever is being worked on goes into the bed of my truck parked next to it. Keeps parts out of the way and I can keep track of them.
I use the heck out of a sharpie, various zip-loc bags, cardboard boxes, and a digital camera.
