Not my car.

I have seen Jeff's videos and chatted with him, seems like a nice guy.

You probably could sell this for $30K in China :-)

That sounds like an opportunity you can't afford to miss!

This looks like the solution for 928 fans in Rotterdam.

Just when think you have seen everything - a 928 race lowered [& prepped?] with an electic motor!

At least I liked the paint job with the Tesla flashes- imaginative! Doubtless we will see a 928 with a big rubber band and wind up key on the roof one of these days!

Here's a good look at the paint job: https://rennlist.com/forums/928-foru...ric-928-a.html (A post by the builder) and on the car itself http://www.evalbum.com/736

50 mi range? I wonder what's the range when new.

This ad has no detail on the car and not even an interior picture.

I don't think people are interested in garage tech electric car anymore now that we have many factory electric car choices.

A few years ago (or more...) I was casually looking at electric conversion options. Most seemed to be done to small imported pickup trucks because they were so easy to fit with battery racks under the bed. A sage enthusiast pointed out that you really want to "convert" a car you are willing to drive regularly. He chose an Audi All-Road. The same philosophy applies here of course. If you are reading this you are probably willing to drive a 928. Is 50 mile range enough? For 90+ percent of folks daily-driving needs, it's plenty. And at maybe 7% of the cost of a Tesla.

It's for sale again, sans electric drive train. $900.

Linking to it isn't working. It's for sale in Salinas, CA. You can find it in Facebook Marketplace by searching for Electric 928. The main image is of the pink slip.

Description:

1984 Porsche 928S that was converted to Electric approx 10 years ago. Car was featured in various Electric events, racing, and on youtube.. Vehicle is clean titled, non opted, current, and title reflects E as fuel type. This vehicle does not require smog for registration due to Electric conversion status through DMV. I acquired vehicle from previous owner that removed electrics for another project. The plan was to do an LS hybrid conversion or Tesla conversion. However, I have too many projects at this time. It's a rolling chassis with torque tube and transmission. Wilwood wave rotor brakes for racing, windows currently have lexan installed but comes original with glass for doors and quarters. If you're looking for an Electric Racer or an interesting project build, this is a great car to do whatever you wish! The lightening bolt paint job is an eye catcher. Has car cover that goes with the car. Feel free to ask questions and view the attached links from the original owner of the cars conversion. Asking $900.
