I have to agree with Speedtoys here.
I understand that these oranges needed to be squeezed somehow, but that wasn't the right place for putting-on a show. Most people around me shook their heads and were worried that this may end-up causing trouble.
Let's skip this next time, OK?

I agree. i didnt know there was any dogs around, only our group and there were no cars in either direction. im not a big burn out guy, but the car makes a lot of noise in 1st gear and i never got out of it or near the end of it. So, it wasnt the speed that was dangerous, it was the noise. all the 928s i saw, leaving the event, with loud exhuast, made near the same noise and some were even faster, going through 2 gears. BUT, the noise always can make a doggie freek out, and im sorry for that.

I found a copy of this thread on another car club forum along with the posters comment....."This is what we have to look forward to as we approach our 60's and 70's".

Burning Brakes
Kibort seems to have confused our annual Sharks in the Park with an Oakland style side show.
His childish behavior and subsequent comments are neither welcome nor appreciated by at least this attendee and do not represent the NorCal 928 community.

so, agreed, i didnt gauge the humor or entertainment value of the "burn out" . for that, i have already apologized and lets leave it at that. I also said i feel bad for the woman who's dog went crazy over the noise. Its not like im the first person to ever do a burn-out on an open road with no traffic around in front of friends.
If you think my burn out is me being confused with an Oakland city side show, you as confused as Jeff is about the dog being "almost run over, multiple times".
again, sorry the noise offended anyone. It wont happen again at any of our events in the future. I also hope no one revs their motors and leaves in first gear at full throttle and makes any noise again either. Im sure that will never happen again as well.

This post is aggressive, offensive and totally uncalled for. It also does NOT "...represent the NorCal 928 community".

To exaggerate the occurrence is a little unfair and unfriendly. That's just grandstanding. the speeds were very low, however the noise was high. the dog didn't get near run over , let alone "multiple times" as you say. there were no cars on the road in either direction, and I did the "deed" in the furthest lane away from our site. Again, I'm very sorry if it offended anyone and sorry a dog was startled as well.
In the future, I wont do that again... what else can I say, besides I am sorry that the act put any negative tone on the event that we all enjoyed so much last sunday.

"Sorry my reving of the engine for a few seconds offended you"
Get off your bull****.
We ALL revved our engines.
You decided to do donuts and some RPM passes with your race track exhaust in a nice quiet (busy) public park. Sure, there's a place for that..being what/who we are. But discretion says..maybe once. Twice is pushing it...and then..
...you caused a park visitor to call the police after puling a speedy donut on top of her. You initiated this from within the lined parking area while she was on the sidewalk ****ing beside you, you oblivious ****. We talked her down, she was ****ing dialing the cops. You ignored her. The rest of us halted traffic for 5min while we helped calm her dog down from running into the woods.
If the cops came, we all would have had to suffer because of you, and not only are you backtracking on your remorse and apology, you're making a mockery of us silently accepting it.
I was gracious in accepting you meant it when you said you were sorry, and when further confronted a little tougher by Jheis, I stepped in to say it wasn't "all that"...and suggested we all learned something, and it wont happen again. Now you want to beat on me, for standing up for your apology after Jheis's post..and Charlie suggesting as well that maybe he was a little over the top...you want to throw knives at me, and by association Charlie I suppose too?
Now your reply to me is you believe I'm _offended_, and all you did was rev your engine?
And lastly...
"I wouldn't have done it if anyone objected before hand"
You need a show of hands to get douchy in a public park at a NorcalOC event? Did you think that because nobody said "dont do it" it was ok?

Three Wheelin'
As the proud Dad of a skittish dog who we've spent a year coaxing out of her shell, the thought of this scene and Mark's complete blowing off of the impact his actions had on this dog and its owner (let alone its impact on the NorCal 928 community) makes my blood boil. Wish I had been there to have dealt with it first hand.
