The guy seems decent enough, but boy does he inspire anything from mild dislike to outright hatred in some people.

He called me when looking for an early 928. He was really interested in buying one or more of my cars. I tried to push one of the silver cars, and gave him a great deal on it, but he really wanted a color that would "pop" and pascha interior. I told him they are not for sale. He said, 'well, if you were to sell, what would it take?' As those particular ones are my 'babies', I put a pretty high price on them, well above current market, as I knew they would likely never cross my path again, and really did not want to let them go. He seemed ok with that and I think accepted that in reality they were not for sale, and I also think he's the type of guy that won't 'overpay' for a car he wants. He related how even his rare early 930 cars he paid very little for, and got in before the prices went to the moon. Overall we spoke for 1/2 hour or so. Seemed like a great "car" guy with no pretensions. Now I'm a fan, of course, even though he didn't buy any of my cars.

I question the fact that a lot of money, a strange hairstyle, and the ability to talk slowly, never smile and appear mysterious, can make one a so called 'legend'..
Isn't that "Thor".....?

That was actually very obvious, I posted the video as a response for anyone that hasn't seen it yet.

He's a car guy doing cool stuff with cars, that is what most of us care about.
I don't care how he dresses, talks, smiles....... he seams like a nice guy doing cool stuff with Porsche's.

I'm looking forward to seeing a MW 928. The guy is creative, and he was innovative with his resto-mod 911's. Even though dead stock is my personal preference, I appreciate and admire what he did with early-to-mid 911's (and Singer has done with 964's). Yes, I bought a Wasser Gekuhlt T-Shirt.

Really man, it wasn't too long ago I looked a bit like that, being an eccentric woodworker and all. I have some top notch clientele, I can't stand it when people assume something about someone based on such BS. Sad, what would be better, should he go about with a sweater tied around his neck?

Just now seeing this thread. Shirt ordered. I first learned about him a last year when I watched the Urban Outlaw movie. It will be great to have in time for Petit Le Mans Porsche Coral in a couple weeks.

Here is a short clip about him getting into 928s if you haven't seen it.
