I've never heard of a factory option for the tray spoiler on anything prior to an S4, beginning for 1987 MY. The rear spoiler on this car looks like an aftermarket add.

There were a very few Unicorn Rare Delete Front and Rear Spoilers that came out of the factory for 1986's. That would be my Unicorn.I just love the pure lines on the early 1978 -1979 non spoiler cars and would love to own a 1986.5 Spoilers Delete one. Yes that one has an aftermarket S4 Spoiler installed, lots of 928's have had that done to them. I had a 1978 Euro that the previous owner put an S4 Bridge spoiler on. I took it off straight away.

Wow someone just took a huge gamble on a Quebec car with no history, no confirmation if the motor matches, no detail on how it is what painted, no carfax or car proof, etc. That's just nuts. I live in Ontario and know why you should never trust something like this out of Quebec.

I bet you are correct. How else would all those hoses have gotten that way and where did the s4 intake tubes come from?

I hope for the buyers sake that it does have a GTS motor and that the paint was done properly.

I was thinking it might be worth saving.
Have been looking for a OB to rework especially if it's factory green. waiting on vin. Is anyone around the area got a few min to do a drive by, should it look like it's a possibility ?

Seller has so for ignored all of the important questions. I was going to post this but decided not to bother.
1: How were the rub strip holes filled? No response
2: Do you have pictures of the car before and/or during the re-paint? No response
3: Number of owners since 1998 in Quebec, perhaps a Car Fax report? No response
4: Picture of the motor serial number. No response
5: Do you have pictures of the motor with the passenger cam cover breather hose and drive side brake booster hoses installed correctly? Just said those hose has been fixed, no pics.
6: Have you checked the crank shaft end play. No response
My spidy sense tells me that this car is a paint & flip.

I was going to press the issue as there is so much wrong on that car but said screw it, not my problem to deal with. Feel sorry for the new owner but due diligence is what it is.

-repaint is a horrible job in a horrible pastel color
-paint, interior, and all rubber are cooked to dust by PS sun.
But
-Could be wrong
-Every 928 should be saved and the worse the starting point the greater the glory!
Let us know what your find.

I saw that one as well, but due to palm springs location I am guessing:

Could be done, and would be carry a hefty potion of Glory. Nice that it started out as green and not red or black or something. Looks less toasty under the hood than I would have thought. What's does the owner say about mechanical condition?
