Wasn't this car in a dealer last month presented by someone here?
"Motorcar Gallery" or something like that.

Don't think it will hit a 6 figure number, I think anywhere from 40k to 65k is the range number for GT's depending on Condition, Mileage, and Service Maintained on them. I sold 2 recently and one had 62k miles on it and needed at least 12k worth of work at a shop for deferred service. body and Interior were great on it. Sold it as is for 35k.the other one had 187k on it with close to 90k of service done to it over its life time, that one sold for 27,600 0n Bat. Both of them were 1990 GT's Baltic Blue wth Linen Interior.

Nevertheless I would still bet on big money since it’s only ‘lightly’ molested.
I find only a few things wrong in the engine bay and I really had to look hard. That’s super rare and what I found is serious nit-picking.
So, engine bay is as near-perfect as any I’ve seen.

It’s not completely unmolested. NACA ducts missing from undertray and the two outer leading edge undertray fasters are missing. Missing, I will bet, because previously, far-too-big fasteners were used and stripped the receivers integrated into air damn. From this thoughtlessness other pathologies follow.

Would it not be nice that when the seller's put these 928's up for auction, he has a complete thorough PPI done and list all the faults that {"Really Need To Be Addressed"} by a shop we all know and have faith in. I do this as full disclosure on all the 928's I sell. I laugh at all the ones that come up for auction and are represented as Turn Key for the next 30-60 k miles.Just Saying,,,,,,
However, John, have you seen anything in the auction ad/pics that would make you think this car needs a complete service catchup that is the typical $10-12k? As far as I can tell so far, the car's needed very little attention. Unless it requires the typical top end refresh for those rubber pieces and all; but a PPI wouldn't typical suggest it unless there's concerns found during diagnostic testing.

Well all German Damsels look great with all there Petticoats on, Its when you start to removing the Layers you will find you were blind sided. Lets see Timing Belt and Tensioner WP done at 2015 with 38,800 miles, Car now has 39,400 miles on it. Only 600 miles put on in 3 years, Wonder if the belt has been checked and retentioned. Not a big issue by any means but new buyer should have the belt and tension checked on delivery. Bet the PSD Fluid has not been flushed every two years and is functioning now. How can you really tell if there are not any oil leaks with all the under belly trays on. Tire Pressure Monitor usually don't function on these.27 year old fuel lines,Cam cover gaskets,Head gaskets, motor mounts,ETC,ETC, I could go on and on.Its a great looking pristine car as far as aesthetics of paint and interior, yes and a rare low production Model, But Hoi you have been around the block a few times with these, no mater how good a car is claimed to be , if you don't wrench your own 928, its an automatic 5k - 10k minimum initiation fee for a newly acquired one. Not saying that wouldn't be worth investing in this one given its Exterior and Interior Presence.

As is, this car should fetch ~$45k, would a complete top end refresh like you suggested (or the need to point it out for any bidders) that will cost $15k increase the sale price from the bidders to $60k? Likely not, but a PPI that points out the "obvious to us 928 folks" need for a top end refresh that most bidders do not necessarily feels like they require one maybe until the next wp/tb change, may decrease the bids $10k.
Now, on the other hand for your 187k mile Baltic Blue GT, a PPI would definitely ONLY HELP due to the fact that it may/did alleviate any concerns for any bidders for your car.
Rule is usually this for anything in life, especially in my line of work:
1. If you're ahead of the game (in this case the condition of the car at baseline), anything you do may jeopardize and it can only hurt it.
2. If you're behind, like a high mileage driver, a PPI (procedure, meds, etc) can only help.
Not advocating to sell a junk (unless one states the fact ahead of time), but not all cars have to be pristine and completely caught up in order to be sold/flipped/owned. That's why the BaT format is nice. Peanut gallery can chime in if one feels strongly about it. Helpful suggestions would/should be welcomed.
Don't let perfection be the enemy of the good (in this case, to be sold and be enjoyed).

Anyone is Sparrows Point, MD to do a RennFax on the yellow 928?
