I know a bit OT, but many of us here do saunter to BaT quite frequently. Well, let me say there is a seismic shift occurring there right now - they just fully entered the realm of the most elite auction houses on the planet - they have a 2015 Ferrari LaFerrari, with only 95 miles on it and on day 1, already at $2.45M!!! Over 300 comments already. Dayum. This will be fun to watch, and to see what else pops up in the future.

Very nice looking 89 5-speed S4 on BaT today. Baltic Blue over Linen. 55K miles. It was sold on BaT 2 years ago at $35K. Only 800 miles added. This will be a nice gauge on how much the market has moved on nice 928s. I predict $42-$45K.

It'll be interesting to see if the TB/WP issue gives some bidders cold feet. Hopefully not as he is doing the right thing by getting parts sourced by Roger and taking the time to get it fixed properly. Wonder who is doing the job though?

I was wondering the same thing. He could have easily kept the issue of the noisy pump to himself and quietly had it repaired while the auction ran. That would have been completely legit in my book. Instead he fully disclosed the issue as well as detailed the remedy. I'd think that this would give prospective buyers confidence in the car vs. cold feet..so long as they're aware that the water pump is a maintenance item...

It blows my mind the deals I have lost over being honest with people. The littlest stuff can run someone off. Being honest has not come back to bight me, but dang. I have seen someone walk away over a power antenna not working.

I'm back to being stuck on the Euro car..I can get it for about $20k
I really like it, but am being told by my local porsche mechanic that I should go with the 32v motor as the 16v engines are slow (in his opinion). Admittedly, hes never driven a Euro Spec 4.7L engine but did admit that the car looks pretty unique.
Would any one mind whos driven the 4.7L Euro motor mind chiming in with their thoughts...
TIA
