Not really for 928 yet, since it is less than what the owner paid for 2 years ago ($54,600 total, $52,000 + $2,600 BaT fee)

I talked to the gentleman who was my buyer. Great guy as I have stayed in touch since then.

He was still very happy with the car but just got a 991.2 GTS.

Can't say I blame him for that. It's a hell of a car.

'88 S4 in Diamond Blue Metallic. I've never seen one in this color before. It has the very rare double option of heated seats and rear AC. Very nice. This one looks pretty good all around, but whats up with that heavy gauge wire going across the radiator?

Good eye. Its being used as power feed from bat based on it looking like it goes straight into jump post.

Maybe. If so, that’s @#$%ing scary if it dives down to battery level at the cross brace. How far is it from the exhaust manifold?

There was a 5-speed this color at our GTG in Seattle. I only remember that since my 87 is the same color.

This is the one that I drove down from Canada a couple of years ago. I sold it over a year ago to help pay for one of my kids college.

I understand that the owner after me did some important maintenance like new timing belt etc, motor mounts and some of the fuel lines.

The only paint flaw that it had was a scratch near the passenger side headlight. I posted pics way back when I was driving it back and I owned it.

Very optimistic price for engine details (hood liner gone, jump post cover, pealing intake paint, mysterious red wire to 14 pin) driver bolster wear, clock fading. On the positive side (lower mileage, original radio, unique color). I wish I could get some bites on my '88 for $6500 less. https://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-...searchRadius=0

Huh really? Was it the one that was in The Shop? I couldn't get close to that one behind the rope. I don't remember anybody showing up with one but I did get their early and left late. Do you have a link to any picks of your '87?

Once we wandered outside, we were standing in front of it talking for a bit. I'm a bit shocked I didn't take any photos of it.

Here's mine:

Very nice. OK, I do know that car, it's Joe Elliott's (I don't think he is on RL much, if at all). He had the rub strips removed when he had it repainted. For some reason his car seems to have a deeper tint of lavender in it which is why I didn't make the connection. But seeing yours, yeah, same color. Great color.
