I am following this closely. Almost identical to mine. I have 66k miles but a 5 speed with no rub strips. All the best with this sale.

42K CDN!!

I driven this baby a couple times before being sold to the current owner. I also detailed before the sale using Griots.

It had some issues after the Victor's SC install that I think got sorted but I'd run compression checks before seriously considering this car.

If you like black, this is the finest looking black paint job I've ever seen 9.9 out of 10. It pretty sure it is multi-layer respray at some point.

The whole KISS connection is very cool too!

Looks like a great buy Stan!
I'm confused by the Craigslist title: 1979 PORSCHE 928 4.5 16V V8 - $4495 (Alpharetta)
Is there an Alpharetta in New York..? I thought we had the only one, here in Georgia...

I was the one that got this car running again, after the owner saw mine at a car show. I did the regulators and vacuum lines, and it fired right up. Also a fuel relay.

I'll be the first to say this car when I last saw it was spectacular- a very impressive example with excellent paint, the radio is like new with the antenna shooting up as soon as it needs to.

Will of course need a timing belt and fuel lines, normal 928 stuff, but it was one of the better examples I've ever seen. I don't think it's too out of line price wise, but it's nothing super rare like an early car. But if any of you guys are interested, I've spent 5-6 hours with this car and can give you a little better idea.

Nice catch Stan, but please open up a separate thread for it with better pictures. I am looking forward to following your work on it!

Again, great car, but couldn't the seller at least vacuum up the toe nails from the carpet It amazes me how this simple little job, which can make a significant difference in getting your price, is not done. This is sales 101.

Congratulations to Range Rover for a great auction. Sold at $63,888 (>$67k with auction fees). Makes me regret not giving it a serious thought when the car was on sale for $57,000 asking just a few weeks ago! Thank you for lifting the community!

Wow, BaT auction winner ($15.5k, only 3 total bids on the entire auction listing) returned from reality and never came through, back up on the market.

Only merit is a very special rare color car that needs another $40k in total restoration investment. Love the fuel pump hanging out on fuel lines kind of look. Makes the continental orange euro '78 that Drooman was selling a basement close out sale!
Asking $15-18k too much. Good luck with sale. Hope he gets it. Alex, yours is worth $100k if he gets $25k for this.

The next one on BaT. '79 cashmere beige over cork 5-speed, no sunroof, no rubies. Original radio. TMU. Paint and Interior not perfect but I like this one.
