Default Maybe 7-8,000 if mechanically sound

The '79 looks nice, but it was probably green, resprayed red. Nice reupholstered seats but fading at the bolsters already at only (30,000 miles?). How many vinyl dash in the '79? I thought they are mostly leather covered dashes in '79?

Nice original radio but aftermarket exhaust.

Full leather was option in '79. Porsche realized they could cover the defective dashes with leather and resell to customer none the wiser what lies underneath. Makes owning a '79 a little easier on the resto side as you can recover the dash and console and it's technically 'correct' instead of trying to find an NLA uncracked dash in correct color.

Agree, that's why I pointed it out why this car would have a vinyl dash when the rest of the car looks to be full leather, unless the PO recovered the previous fabric inserts and door cards of the original interior and left the dash uncovered.

Still nice, but I am not sure if it is $10,000 nice.

Not having "Full Leather" does not necessarily mean cloth seats. You can have leather seats and door cards in a '79 and still have vinyl dash. If you then order the "Full Leather" option you then get the dash, console, and a few other bits in leather as well. I have a both '79 with leather seats but vinyl dash/console/door panels/rear panels, etc. (and a '79 'full leather' with seats and all the above covered in leather).
