Default ‘84 5spd on eBay from tailgater2007

Beware, this is the seller (tailgater2007) that rolled back the odometer on the silver OB several months ago then went silent in FB and eBay for several months. His history on eBay is not good, including the mocha brown beige ‘81 5 spd that is relisted by the current owner now on CL in Ventura Ca. Dennis warned us away from the ‘81, when he checked out the car in person back in 9/2018. He feels that the current owner, which bid up the ‘81 on eBay up to $28.5k in 2/2018, felt had and wanted to rid the car ASAP. Car is and was listed for $17.5k but accepted an offer for $13k, but Dennis felt its probably worth $6-7k.

john Nitz, longrunner, also had a run in with the eBay seller.

I had a local run in with him, too. Shifty characters. Thought I recognized that photo site for this car.

The seller (tailgater2007) is ranked a "Top Rated" seller by eBay:
  • Top Rated and PowerSellers – You're one of the best sellers on eBay, providing an exceptional quality of customer service, as well as meeting minimum sales requirements for Top Rated Seller or PowerSeller level. If you're a Top Rated Seller, you're also eligible for Top Rated Plus listing benefits as long as you meet the listing qualifications
If rolling back an odo doesn't lower an eBay seller's ranking to "Above Standard", what the hell does? Taking the money and running, I suppose.

Unhappy Looking for Porsche 928S4!!

Hello!,

my name is Simon Esik. If you recognize the last name that is because I am the son of Mike Esik. Sadly on April 26th 2017 he passed away. He was a big 928 geek and wizard. Him and I use to work on an 88’ 928 S4 black on tan manual. “WP0JB0923JS861620”. I am begging to find the owner and purchase the vehicle. I am new to this forum and I am on the 928 Forum Group on Facebook. I have posted there but I am dying to find this vehicle. A friend of my dads “Gary” bought it off him after and ever since then I have no idea where to find him. I’m located in Edmonton Alberta Canada. If you know the owner please email me or get in contact with me thru the forum. Thank you!

Simon, I just ran an Autocheck history report for the car you are looking for. The last registration it shows was in Edmonton in 2005.

You may have better luck starting a new thread. Not everyone reads the "For Sale" section.

Good luck.

Simon,

You've got mail. She's currently registered in Ontario.

Regards,

Adam

That 79 white/green is an interesting one Nate. I can't say I like it. Not my taste. The seller has a really good rep though, so this might be a good one for somebody looking for an OB.

I agree with you about the interior color scheme, although it does appear to be nicely done.

Also, it looks like the paint job eliminated all of the original stickers on the driver's door jamb...

Jim Doerr told me he is working on some high quality repros of decals for the early cars. Check with him.

There’s a guy in Poland on eBay. Takes about 6 weeks to get them. I believe Roger May get them from him also.
