First off, there was no accusation, it was an observation from the pictures posted, nothing emotional or nefarious intended. Keep in mind this is a discussion forum and we discuss what we see, or even think we my see.

When I said hard impact, I meant on the door, didn't intend to imply that it was T-boned etc. I have seen a few 928 doors that had damage like that from someone slamming the door on something, or someone trying to pry it open etc

All that being said, it could just be reflections that are tricking my mind because I have seen such damage in person more than once. I did find it odd that that pic was posted and no other similar one for the other side, this makes it seem that someone is trying to bring attention to that in an effort to expose it. I have seen this a hundred times before in ads, I am would guess you have also.

It my opinion bothers you a simple solution is to take a new pic of that area and post it up to see if it looks different. I have no problem saying I was wrong and/or even deleting my posts.

Have a great day,

Dave

EDIT: I see you posted new pics, thanks. Now it looks totally normal to me, sorry for the confusion, but I call em how I see em with what is provided at the time. I have deleted my posts.

Hi Paul,

No problem, and sorry for the momentary confusion.

Who knows, someone else could have been looking at it and was hesitate to bid because they also saw what I did(or thought I did), that's all fixed now. :-)

In reality that pic stood out to me the first day Mark posted it and it has bugged me since. I wouldn't want someone to buy it and miss that without me saying anything, so once I saw it go on Ebay without that specific pic I felt compelled to say something, so I did....and I ended up being wrong. I will take that vs the possible opposite situation I mentioned above.

Back to the 928, it is certainly beautiful and I wish all the best with the auction/sale. I hope to see it in person some day and hopefully being driven, it is too beautiful to hide away somewhere.

All the best,

Dave

You mean like this photo in an ad for a Suburban?

(that's not a dent in the fender, BTW).

^^^ Maybe $70-75k (Jason strahans BaT ‘94 GTS being used as a comp)
This car has a cracked dash and butchered radio surround and missing radio. Not confident that the previous owners really took care of it.

still one of my favorite color.

I think this is the car that's been serviced at my local air-cooled shop for the past few months.
IF IT IS, here's what I know about that car:
The car sat outside and unused for years.
The shop owner that worked on it had these opinions "I hate 928s" and "they're not good cars".
The owner of the car cut as many corners as possible to keep the cost down.
He also said the odo was broken when it was brought to him.

Will never get that price with it's needs. The front bumper is disgusting for $88K

Am curious to why they don't show what service was done to car (why it's covered up) all you see is the labor amount......hmmmmm.

Agree. For that price a way better deal is RKD's.

Same miles, also a manual, better and more rare color, and owned buy a guy who clearly loves the car.

And even if it isn't, it's clear whoever owned this car cut corners. A big indicator for me is that they went to the effort to replace the sunroof and rear wiper switches but left the worn out looking window switches alone just to save $150 on their $90K GTS.

Odd. In the other pictures it shows a radio but a Monterey SQR 23. Wrong for a GTS but correct for earlier cars. Hoi, I don't think your Barry Manilow CDs are going to work on this one.

^^^However, now that the radio is gone, I will put in a non-CD radio and play the "Greatest of Barry Manilow" in a loop!^^^
