I'm agreeing here. I wouldn't consider less-than-thorough service a huge blemish on the car's clean/original status. You can't undo high miles, abuse, salvage title, shoddy bodywork, spotty history, etc. Improper service can be corrected and/or more thorough service performed before any adverse effects take place.
That said, if the service performed is inadequate or incomplete, it shouldn't be detailed and touted as an asset to the car's overall condition and value. Particularly the powdercoated intake (which I didn't realize is an issue).
Exactly

I would certainly like to see thorough, expert service be a value add. There’s some sense in that; we all know - more-or-less - how much GOOD service costs and how expensive poor service will turn out to be. Thus, it irks me to see poor service touted and prospectively add value.

Yes, customized interior color but very tastefully done.
5 spd with LSD
No side strips
Needs a rear bumper repaint and no idea what the engine looks like.
Very nice though for the asking.

Three Wheelin'
A couple of nice ones for sale on the PCA site. An 88 S4, one owner, 5 speed with 39k miles asking 45k. And a 79, 2 owner car with 74k miles for 24k. They both look well kept and maintained.

Looks like Chuck Z's old GTS is on sale again!
If it is asking for top, top dollars, shouldn't it have appropriate wheels?
Only went 36 miles in 3 years :-(

^^^ some serious coin but no doubt one of the finest available. We all laughed when Michael started asking over 6 figures for one. In this condition they are on par with the 993TT's and creeping up to the 94 turbos. Crazy

That Classic Gray interior looks mighty familiar
Hoi, aren't those Cups the correct GTS wheels?

Race Car
Here a good one for those looking for a potential driver quality S4 for not much money. 1990 S4. Interior looks pretty good in spots. Seats need work. Paint need re-done. Needs proper air filter. But for $10K might be worth a look. All the issues he list could be remedied by the DIYer with not too much trouble.

In Chuck's original 2012 ad (below), he mentioned the wheels, rotors, exhaust, etc BUT included them with the purchase. Guessing those parts weren't included in subsequent changes in ownership.
Sucks that someone has now put in a different stereo too.
