Another one on BaT. It's spring. My guess is we will be seeing a record number of 928s for sale over there this year.
Black over black, '85 5-speed with LSD, 89K tmu miles. Not bad. Is that air filter in backwards?

'85 Red over Black...looks too good to be true for condition/mileage/price.

Isnt this the same one that’s been for sale for a while? Used say it had a brand new Maaco paint job. The rooster is definietly an upgrade, but marketing wizard he is not.

Be highly cautious if you consider a transaction with this person. Ive had a series email exchanges with him that don't seem quite right. The lack of basic knowledge, strange comments, and maybe most important, unwilling to talk by phone, leave a bit of a rodent smell. I don't run across too many rats with 928s (of the one "t" variety), but something doesn't seem right. The pictures look great, but who knows what driveway it may be parked in. Be careful.

No doubt its a beauty. If it's really his, I wouldnt buy it without doing the full transaction face to face. He doesnt seem to have any meaningful service records. Timing belt done by PO over 12 years ago, no record of motor mounts, intake refresh, AC doesnt work, etc. etc. May still be a great car, but buyer beware.

Potentially a real good bargain here for anyone in the Houston area. 1990 S4 97K miles for only $17500

Can someone please explain this too me?
Why would you remove the reserves so early in the bidding?

Not sure, but the seller is getting grumpy. That may hurt his sale. Few people can handle these things on the public auctions like Dennis H. And his results prove it. The cassirot seller is a collector and likely knows not a lot about this specific model.

BAT auction is ruthless, definitely a gauntlet for a seller. It's almost to the point of being unfair to the seller. The buyer has as much responsibility to research as the seller does to disclose. In most auctions, you inspect the car, research, read the write up and bid...there is no forum to ask questions or otherwise point out possible shortcomings or build doubt for other prospective buyers.
