Agreed. That Prussian blue one is the latest example of an "I don't give a ****" attitude about presentation. Pay $6K for a car, flip for $12 without doing anything, and wow, what a biz model. It'll just bring down all of the other good candidates. Sad.

This is what I am saying. These people are negatively affecting this market. It's IS sad. This blue one has a title that could be probably fixed. And what work was done is not clear.

Jeez, remember the days when folks that ran 'em hard cared all about function and didn't give a ratz azz about center caps? Ah, I may be delusional too, maybe there never were those days. Where's Patrick's hybrid nowadays anyway haha.
Here's a bute for the shark hoarders https://philadelphia.craigslist.org/...208484919.html Ugly check. Low production (if real) check. Real NACA hood ducts bode well but I didn't think Strosek was in the game that early. Retrofit? Old AIC kit?
911 seats and maybe wheel? Rough dash. Still, outwardly emblematic of the skinny tie era.

looks like it has issues though
Contacted the seller. My question to him:

You need to check out the Rennlist forum to see what other 928 enthusiasts are saying about this car:

His response:

"HI MIKE
Thanks for the heads up, whatever it is. I really can't be bothered with what people say on forums, social media, etc. But appreciate your effort.

Anybody want to start a pool on how long before it's sold, and how much it eventually goes for?

IMHO - I would say $55k tops - (Though its not for me, I wouldn't even pay that)

As he is asking $90k its gonna take quite a while for him to come back to reality.

Shows that if a car is presented well, an under educated buyer will over pay. Of course they end up hating it and will bad mouth the 928 till the end of days. He will be the guy telling others to never buy a 928.

If they seller gets smart and lowers the price I would bet on a sale in a few weeks.

What's the warped console? The ad says it's a common issue with 928s. I have never seen a console warp like that. Am I the only one?

Tabs broken off for securing console. Lack of simple detail attention drives the value down. Presentation, Presentation, Presentation!

Price reduced! $85000 Haa, Haa, Haa.

Question about the blue 86.5 on BAT --------

The car has full leather with stitching on the center console, both arm rests and the glove box cover. The glove box cover is blue and not black and to my eye looks like leather. The dash is obviously vinyl or a cap and black. BUT definitely not leather.

Am I seeing things or does anyone agree with me? Did someone just remove the leather from the dash to leave a vinyl dash in place with zero damage or cracks?

I agree, Roger. Does look like a real vinyl dash. Wonder if it was replaced at some point. Looks too good to be a cap, none of the obvious signs.

I don't think it's a cap but it has been replaced with a vinyl dash. The colors do not match.

I completely agree with you roger, and I did so in the BaT thread too. Seller says not a cap, but the vents look like it could be. Either way, that dash was not original to the car, unless all of the other bits were initially vynil and replaced with leather.
