103k automatic.
Purchased in Columbus, OH 2012 with I believe 93k
Come get it as is, 5k. Still runs, but obviously not with fuel leak.

Just recently was at a light and POP....smoke under hood. Turned off car and extinguished. I always carry an extinguisher. The fire was minor. With hood closed would never know --- was at drivers side front injector/rail. Chemical is all over engine currently and car sits in the plaza parking lot where I work. Combustion and fuel leak.

I don't have the energy or time to clean it all up. Sounds silly and will lose a lot of money, but I want it gone. Someone can detail it, fix the issue and get out fairly inexpensive and have a great running car - just not me this time.

I went through a divorce two years ago and lost some of the original parts as they stayed in garage --- that's the way it goes some times. Gone:
Original flat dish/slotted rims
Original signal lights front/rear (bought seconds and 'smoked' them)
Back cover where tools are kept.
Spare.

Went through car when I got it home. End play in line, fluids, brakes, tires, wiring, etc.

Completed all maintenance in my garage.
Several items replaced up through 2015.
2015 tbelt/waterpump and several other items replaced
2016 purchased Victors stage 1 supercharge kit and installed (roughly 250 miles with kit installed)

Items i have in garage:
2nd set of 17" 7.5/9" Sport Edition Cup4 rims with tires.
AC unit/items, airpump off car
Original cat (Xpipe installed)
Original muffler (bypass installed)
Have rogers cold air intake system (took off due to supercharger install)
PKclamp that was never installed -- after initial release it has not moved and didn't install.
Porkens bumpstick and timing adjustment tools

Very few imperfections on body. A few very minor scratches. Car was pampered and garaged entire ownership. Saw rain once while attending Sharks in the Mountains 2016. Never snow/salt.
Dash has one half inch separation at middle where the vents are located for windshield.
No tears in seats. Bolsters vgc.
Original radio/speakers

I will get a couple pics up with how engine looks with chemical all over.... Fire was minor saw no paint damage. No fire company needed.

^^^The interior alone is worth the asking price^^^
With all the extra parts and all, it's damn worth it. Too bad I am done with post '87, unless its GTS or GT.

I think we have reached BaT 928 saturation point.
The cars you list are great examples, there just seems to be a diminishing 928 return recently across the board on that platform.

What do you mean by "diminishing returns"?

That people are again seeing relatively less returned to them at sale than what they put into them over their ownership (work, money, sale prep).
Cleary 928s are going up in value and its not as bad as it was a few years back but there was a sweet-spot mid-last year up until a month or so ago on BaT where 928s were seeing better money - across editions, years, condition, etc.
There are now more 'reserves not met' being seen again and also sellers commenting about final sale prices not meeting expectation.
These are some dynamics I see:
1. Across marques BaT is listing more vehicles these days, diluting audience attention.
2. 928s as a proportion are represented a lot.
3. If 928 Rennlisters don't champion the 928 listed in the commentary then it sees a lower price return like-for-like.
4. Specialist sellers of certain vehicles are using BaT as a shop-window for multiple listings from their inventory which brings fatigue to that model on the platform in general.
5. Porsche values are plateauing a bit across models. Apart from the 996 which appears to be the latest 'unloved' model that is proportionally represented more these days on BaT due to owners that held wanting to make good on their wait and not have diminishing returns.

R.o.W. up until around VIN 500 (4 hundred something) the fenders had no light holes ahead or behind the wheel opening. These ^^^^^ WERE fenders like this, then got federalized...or some holes got filled somewhere.

I think it is getting diluted a bit because more mundane cars are coming up.

I think it comes in waves. People need to "bring out their dead" when the market spikes and once that is cleaned out, the rare, well-maintained or low miles (or both) come out again and the prices go up.
