Default Classic 9 / Robert Budd Interior Install

Doing this as much as an advertisement for Robert Budd's fine leather work as for my own documentation of my interior rebuild.

After many months of prep, I finally got my first piece of recovered interior installed into my '82 tonight. Took me quite a while solo, but got my dash in without issue. And damn does it look good.

Previously my defrost vents were all wonky and the various corners were all shrunk, and it actually looks like the start of an interior that I'll be really happy with.

Next up - getting the console all prepped for install. Need to do some work for the various mounting points, then everything else should fall into place.

Looks damn good. Are you getting the pod done, too?

My seats and door cards are suppose to be done pretty soon, by Rob, for my 78. I've been thinking about having some interior work done on the 84, but if so, my wife mentioned me having some sort of vasectomy work done without a doctor or hospital being involved...so I'm holding off for a bit...lol.

Can wait to see the rest of your interior job in place.

Brian.

Funny you ask.

Unfortunately the answer is no. I was already pushing my budget on the job (well, if I want to be honest with myself, I was already way over), so I elected to not get the Pod done.

Moments after getting the dash in, I went to the Classic9 website and priced it out again, trying to figure out ways to scrounge for the funds. Now looking like it'll be a next winter project.

Ryan, Dash looks great and time to have the pod done now while apart now and the new pod will match the new dash. WYIT swap in a new ODO gear.02 T

Might just be easier if you send me the $$$ now rather than waiting for the series to complete

Pah.
Sharp wit. That's why I like you.

Just for that I will now hijack your thread...

I once ran into Chris Pronger after a game here in town at a bar. Let's say I had been drinking, for the sake of the story...
So I wasn't a fan, he tended to get rocked in the face and never retaliated, probably because he didn't want to Mar his pretty mouth.

Anyway, I go upto him a tell him that I thought the "C" on the Jersey stood for contact.
One of his entourage then shoves me and I spin around and then get immediately hustled out by the bouncers and he goes back to his models...

I used to work with a guy whose family would house Pronger over the summers...I heard similar stories from him.

As for your statement of "for the sake of the story....":

Interesting feedback....In isolation, the stitching has been a positive to me, as it's got the red highlights like my exterior.

If it's supposed to remain a secret, perhaps they shouldn't have shown a picture of the manufacturer's color chart. Here's a video showing how to apply the material.

So you recover these yourself?

The $225 price thats shown on the site i assume is with a core sent back?
