I'm really enjoying Wayne's optimistic exuberance. It's very refreshing...
And what the heck, didn't he quadruple his money on that last 928 he bought?
Who can argue with that? So far, I'd say he's batting 1000...
I too share the concerns expressed about this second car he has now purchased.
But hey, I sure am rooting for the guy. Party on Wayne..!

You go Wayne! I've seen worse come back from the dead. Although I would normally do the mechanical stuff first, it might give you a huge physiological boost to salvage those leather seats and the dash first. Check out www.colorplus.com. I think your seats are featured in one of their before/after photos

Well, do I have a story to tell. Yet its midnight and tired.
My new car #932 for 1986. 928s, Auto, sport seats, full leather it seems.
Tow service could not deliver tonight, arriving in the morning.
Seller had it for eight years. His kids shot out the driver window with the bb gun, that's why the leather is toast. Leather dash has more curves than all women naked dance party. It has the rear aircondition. Love the sport seats. Never wrecked. Has clean title. Clear coat so finished its leaving the party itself. Negatives are some sony cd player, I'll have to find a period cassette blaupunkt. Steering wheel has additional owner installed warp, maybe it looks nice underneath. Was running when parked. Has dead battery.
I need to buy a passenger window glass, what's the best idea. just look for somebody selling them from there parts car? I want it to be original porsche glass. I might have to pull the dash to have the leather re done. I wonder what that cost? after I ship off the dash to somebody maybe rob or bob I forget his name.
That's my update, more photos tomorrow.

Setting aside my remarkable ability to be STUPID and inappropriate,
I do wish you only the best on this project.
I hope you get her up and running to your expectations without much unwanted drama or trauma.
All my best to you Wayne.
Seriously.

My long story of getting #2 Porsche Project. #1 was sold in march. the #73 1979.
I have since acquired #3 Porsche 928 1985. Not running. I also bought a box truck to go pick them up. Threashold is 32" from ground, built wood ramps.

8 x 4 is 32. As in 32 valve. But I digress. And who told you that's an 87? I expect you'll figure it out soon enough. Good luck with saving these rejects and thanks for the laughs, even if they were not intended.

Cool! I have always liked threads like this! I got faith in ya! Car looks to be in decent shape and I bet it will clean up pretty good. If it were me, I would focus the budget on just getting it running well and replacing all the hoses, seals, belts, fluids, etc. Good luck and looking forward to the progress pics.
