New LED lit Shift **** w/leather boot
I have begun importing these shift ***** and boots from Germany -
The **** and one-piece leather boot is premium glove leather, and the 5-speed shift pattern is illuminated in LED's to match our dash lights. Very trick!
It's shorter than the stock shift **** - but not so short as to be a problem. Sometimes when the very short late-model ***** are applied to the early transmissions, the cars become a little clunky to shift because you have lost all your leverage. I've driven a 1984 with this **** and it still shifts nice because it gives you enough leverage to get it done.
Also - the **** comes with silicone-rubber vibration isolators, making it just the little bit more comfy.
I have two in stock, more on their way. Black only.

Very cool.
I'm guessing there is a replaceable battery in the top of the shifter that illuminates the LEDs?
The LEDs are always on or activated by a light sensor?

Probably 2 hours total, but I could see someone doing it in 1 hour.
FYI I have put about 7k on my car since installing it. I love the feel vs the old stock **** and so far no visible wear at all.

Jager Engineering used to carry a kit for the automatics:

I believe there are one or two DIY threads also, from when there were no kits available (as may be the case now).
(Edit: What Randy said!)
