Phillipe and his son should really make an effort to attend the Sharktoberfest event next weekend Fri, 10/15 and especially Sat, 10/16. https://rennlist.com/forums/928-foru...st-2016-a.html They will be treated like royalty T

Phillipe e-mailed me this morning and might make S-Fest but not sure at this time. I mentioned (again) the 3rd Coast dates. T

This trip would make a great documentary.. Love the look of the car too.
In Brian Long's book page 68 there is a reference to a similar journey. The timeline in the book puts it around the winter of 77/78 (that's where these images appear in the book, no time reference is given) Does anyone know more about this expedition?

A few of us had the pleasure of meeting up with Philippe & his son last night in Vancouver, BC for a few hours. We had a total of 5 928's make it out to welcome them, a decent showing considering it was Thanksgiving in Canada yesterday. It was fascinating to hear their stories and see the car.
Other than functional modifications (skid plates, rear seat delete for storage, raised suspension height, Recaro seats), the car is basically stock. We all know how reliable our cars can be when maintained properly, and these guys are now proving it to the enthusiast community. So far they have traveled over 22,000 KM's on some of the worst roads and only needed to replace 2 fuel pumps! Try that in another 27 year old sports car!
They are off to Washington State this morning, if you have a chance to catch up with them somewhere along the journey I would highly recommend it!

Phillipe's reply to my e-mail. I've been trying to get them over to Sharktoberfest this weekend: : Hi Tony, We arrived in Seattle tonight after 2 days in Vancouver. We met guys from 928 Club, very nice , and also this morning we visited Porsche center Vancouver, all staff was very enthusiastic ! Am sorry but we can't be there this w.e, as you can imagine we want to visit various places on the way and we need some days before arriving San Francisco, then will stay there minimum 2 days before going south till San Diego. Am very sorry but it's a little bit too short. We keep in touch, Best regards Philippe
