I made it back with no issues around 6:45 last night. Car seems to like running on mountain stream water, but guess I will put coolant back in later this week... and maybe a new "full length" radiator hose.
It was so good to see everyone. Thanks Dave and Jeannie for another great event.
Looking forward to seeing everyone again soon, hopefully sooner than SITM '17

Thanks Dave and Jeannie for continuing the tradition. Great time, good to see old friends and make new ones. Nice ride home Sunday, left around 8AM, made the 550 mile trip in 8 hours, with only about 5 minutes of rain!

Who was the guy that rode with me? He was thumbing for a ride in the parking lot, and I picked him up. Forgot his name. I think Curt, maybe? He has the Red 87 with 3 piece alum BBS looking wheels. Murf? Supercharger. 2 Alpine amps in the back...I remember everything, except his name. LOL.
Uhg i hate being bad with names.

Last batch from the drive and the dinner.
I think Kurt tired himself out with the speech!! lol.
Also forgot the pic of the Mother Goose House we stopped at on the way to SITM.

It would be a great idea to post this event on FB somewhere. I, for various reasons am on it every day but am not on RL much any more. Would have attended this with my 40K mile 85 had I known, as I do with my 914 (we stay at the same hotel in October). Would love to see as many 928's as we had 914's (65 914's in 2015) in one place. And that hotel is a great place to host! Please get the word out

We stayed an extra night and made it home yesterday at about 5PM (during the height of Tropical Storm Colin - which happens to be my 13 year old's name )
Lost the driver's side wiper arm so thankfully the arms are interchangeable between passenger and driver. We had about 4 hours of driving in the rain from SC, through GA and into FL.
My entire family enjoyed it. Banner Elk (and Sugar/Beech) might be my favorite place on the planet.
Always so grateful for the generosity of Dave and Jeannie and the opportunity to see old and new faces.
My favorite shark sighting was the "Red Witch". Seth has gotten himself into a very good 928!
More pics later today but here's a mixed bag of all things we did in Banner Elk (including Sugar Mountain Golf and riding the Ski Lift to the top of Beech Mountain for the 5506' Bar).
