2017 928 40th Anniversary - EURO928 - Reims France May 25-28, 2017

I was somewhat disappointed in the organisation of the Sunday event.
Granted, I did only meet with the group on Sunday at the Gueux track, but I did expect the whole thing to be better organised.
It was hot as hell.
The original idea was to have a BBQ and food trucks at the Gueux track, didn't happen.
Instead some of the sponsors I believe were enjoying their champagne, while the others were melting, nowhere to get drinks in sight. That seemed very rude to me to be honest...
BBQ instead was at the original venue, were my father and I had a very short conversation with one of the organisers.
- Are you registered (for the BBQ)?
- No, but...
And before we could even ask if it was possible to still join, we were informed that there was no space, that everything was filled up.
Do note that the BBQ was outside, next to a party venue, with plenty of empty chairs and tables inside, probably a ten second job to move to chairs outside.
Not exactly the way to make people that just drove 3 hours to see some 928s and have a good time, feel welcome. :/

And hereby some more pictures. First of all, some more special interiors that I noticed:
Very light blue leather colour, never seen such before:
Full rootwood interior (apart from the steering wheel), with white + red-piped leather:
Velour pinstripe interior:
Jager Garage 9 (? , at least that is what I think it is) aluminum + carbon interior elements:
And a very early 928 with original pasha interior:
Last but not least: it's our cars that brings us to these kind of gatherings, but the people who drive them being the reason why we go and keep on coming back.
And many thanks towards Samuel, who pre-contacted and helped all of us international visitors to this nice event!

I think Tom was the only sole English speaker and he may feel otherwise. However, the hosts made a serious effort to make all the invited guests feel welcome.
Some of us were asked to give a short speech in English to the group that attended the gala dinner... all was fine...
Great bunch of people

For those who were at Reims during this week-end, could-you, please, tell what you have liked, and disliked?
You can express yourself here, by MP or by email.
The goal is to have a feedback of the event to improve the next ones.
Thank you in advance.
Samuel
PS:
Don't worry, I will not take any kind of offence of your remarks
In fact, it seems that I'm much more critical than most participants but I always like to do things well.

You will find pictures of the event here:

Just enter your email. The password is "40 ans 928" .
The pictures inside the "amphitheater" are from the Club Porsche 928 de France annual assembly.
If you ever wonder how I look like, just spot the guy without much hairs, wearing a polo with Gulf and BRM logos on horizontal stripes.
I let the others describe themselves, if they want to do it

Great album, thanks for posting, brings back lots of nice memories of the event!
Here's a fine picture of our hosts .. Samuel from LeMans on the right, and that's Thierry from Toulouse in jeans in the middle. I'm afraid I've forgotten the other two gents' names, perhaps someone could remind me?
