Sorry for the thread hijack, but I also have an 87 S4 that has a less-than-ideal front spoiler that I'll eventually replace.
Is the part that is available 928 505 071 20, or 928 505 071 21?
My understanding is that P/N 928 505 071 20 is the original part for 87-89 but it is no longer available and was superseded by P/N 928 505 071 21 (the part for MY 90+). It looks like the newer part will work but may need some minor modifications as noted by Dwayne in the following (fantastic!) writeup:
https://rennlist.com/forums/928-foru...re-w-pics.html
For what it's worth, my 87 has the part with the 8 holes, so it looks to be the newer version (installed before I bought the car). It fits, but it is a little goofy near those 8 holes, probably because whoever installed the part didn't modify it the way Dwayne suggested.
Please correct me if my assumptions above are wrong. I'm just looking for clarification before ordering any parts.
Thanks!
