Yes, don't mix agents. It's not the ethylene glycol, but the additives the can react with each other.

I see NO use for Water Wetter in a street driven cars with the proper coolant and distilled water mixture.

Water Wetter is for track driven cars, with ZERO coolant, and water only. This is for proper track safety, and for fast & efficient track clean-ups in the event of fluid loss and accidents.

Save your money on a street car, and spend it on good quality Porsche coolant.

Yes, I'd like to hear from the proponents of Water Wetter. I added it briefly but then stopped. Adding another additive to the mix without clear benefit was beyond my risk:benefit ratio liking. My engine coolant system is tightly controlled and watched. Would really have to tip the scale for me.

I like it and I'll keep using it on the street and on the track, as I've never see any ill effects (blackish residue) and do agree on Track use, distilled water and water wetter is what i've done too.

It makes water wetter

Zerex can be a bit tough to find locally. I'm now relying on Amazon to get it to me without hassle. Here's a great post/article for you to sink your teeth into as to why Zerex G-05 is the coolant of choice.

Thanks Terry and all! Lots of interesting information to consider.
Looks like I'll be off to Walmart to get Zerex G-05 and some DI water.

All the best,

Joe

Actually, DI (I assume he's saying deionized water) would be even better than distilled, just nearly impossible to find outside of a laboratory application/environment. Great for battery top-ups.

Easy to find--just find the nearest saltwater aquarium store. I have RO/DI - 5 gallons is $8.00.

Ha ha that's true, I make that stuff every time I need to top off the reef tank...but I'm not sure it's really necessary for this purpose? It's a lot easier to buy a couple gallons of distilled at the grocery store...
