Now, this engine's spec and price are very much comparable to LS3 engines. Any advantage of this Coyote engine when one wants to do a renegade? Tried and true Chevy engines have been on the market for years. Curious.

Ford and Porsche have done quite a bit of "working together" over the years.
Porsche does engineering consulting to Ford and the other automakers still.
Ford's original Duratec V6 was originally a Porsche design intended for the upcoming Boxster.
The guys that laid down the original Mod Motor in the 80s did benchmark port design work based on the 944 head.
So this latest variant of the Mod has "come home"

In relation to statements above, this engine is a 32V 5.0 V8 like what came in 85+ 928s.
But it is vastly more modern, which to me makes it more at home in a 928 versus a OHV pushrod V8.
Plus when someone figures out how to copy the GT350's flatplane crank, it will make for a very interesting engine.
