Found at last - The Elusive PSD Heat Shield
1 Attachment(s)
Thanks to some sleuthing by one of our UK friends - Ian Salisbury.
I had searched for this part for at least five years. |
Send it to a sheet metal shop and have a dozen made up. Pretty easy to dupe, and paint.
|
WTFIT? Is that the metal plate over-which the PSD is mounted?
|
I don't think I've ever seen one like that
|
On my GTS, goes from the PU/Fender junction flange (2 holes top of pic) across to the heat shield above the rear muffler ( 2 holes bottom of pic), and has a rubber push on seal at the front (left of pic), to seal to the wheel well liner. Shields the PSD from underneath.

Rog, If interested, I can check with the guy who rents half of my shop. He has a metal fab business. T

I don't remember that shape on the inboard side toward the battery box, but it's been a while.

My '90 GT, pretty sure no one had ever been in there before(judging by the fluid that was in it....) - it was bare aluminum, not painted, no rubber seal:

Maybe it depended on whether Hans or Gunther fitted it. Mine is bare aluminum too.
|
In Roger's picture it like looks like plastic.

This is an important question that can't wait. Someone should call Rog on his cell. It's already 4am in Tejas. He should be up by now, right? Not. :roflmao: |
He's not doing the graveyard...
