Anyone using an Odyssey PC1220 battery?
My Autozone Duralast battery is giving signs of senility and I am considering replacing it with an Odyssey PC1220 (group size 48 for an '89...). I did not find any information about this exact model Odyssey battery in my searches of this forum, so I thought I'd ask if anyone has experience with this battery.
I have not had great luck with the last few Duralast batteries and am not sure that I have much faith in the usual name brands either, but I had put an Odyssey into my motorcycle after two Yuasa batteries had previously given poor performance (one of which failed abruptly and absolutely – worked fine to start the bike, but after a five minute shut down, turning the key on got lights and good indications until the starter switch was pressed – lights went out and the battery had zero volt output, and never to push another electron down a wire...). The Odyssey performed flawlessly even when neglected, ignored, and uncharged. The bike was often unused for weeks or months, but the Odyssey battery would always crank the engine as if it had been freshly charged.
Needless to say, I would like that level of performance for a new battery in the 928, but the motorcycle battery, while also not the same as the PC1220, was purchased years ago and things change.....
Thanks!

Ive been using an odyssey for the last 10 years... i have 3 of them... 2 of them i killed by deep discharging a few times each... the last one has been working for 5 years and has not missed a beat.
I think they are better than any battery ive ever used . ...and you can use the little ones too for racing (14lbers) PC680. If that is an indication of their quality, you should have NO problems with them.
Lots of power, low internal resistance.... very durable. but a little pricey at full size like the 1220..... but, heck, ,all batteries are expensive now. I just bought one for my truck that cost 120 bucks for a junk battery from O'reily's
