If you drove by a $80,000 vette...at 140mph.
He was probably sleeping.

Yaaaaaa
Your probably right...................... But ,so many people won't use what their car was designed for ---for fear of the Po-Po. I'm 50 and still addicted to speed. I also like to play with New Mustangs and Camaros- Remember, if you haven't noticed I'm from KY- where Corvettes are born - plenty to play with. Silly to some - but it's my fun time. I'm not a yuppie want a be- I'm a car guy who likes them all - and likes to play with them as well. Am I rare and few and far between? I don't know how many times people come up and want to see the car ---at a gas station - yell out going down the road--- it's pretty inspiring. This car raises my spirits and makes me feel like I'm 16 again. BRAVO!!!!!! I feel the need for speed

How about an '80's or '90's Corvette? I'm not very familiar with the performance figures of these cars but I imagine that the contemporary vette's weren't all that quick.

remarkably the published performance specs for both the 79 vette and 928 are very close. -not talking the absurd big block monster though. anyone can put a huge engine on a haywagon. The 928 is prettier and aged better.

lots of those things are pretty simple fixes and only take time. best to take the advice here and the help and start doing some of these things yourself. brake master, and other things like it are 30 min repairs.. more if you include the bleeding of those fluid sytems...
the good news is, once you fix all the little things, the car will run with no issues for 10-20 years!!!

Sorry, I'm new here. I'll have to re-read the forum guidlines, as I guess i'm breaking some rule. Some of the threads seemed "unfinished" to me (or I was curious to learn more), so I posted a request for a follow up. This thread from November 2015 was particularly interesting to me. Not my intention to offend you.
Could I ask a moderator to "set me straight"?
