Default Does Tartan Interior Exist on the 928?

Though I've seen it in marketing materials, I've never actually seen a 928 with tartan interior. Do any cars actually exist with tartan interior? If so, does anyone here own one? Please post pics if you have them.

I know they did it on 924s. That's awesome. Thanks.

Just curious,
Is the tartan plaid section an actual cloth fabric, or is it a patterned vinyl?
.....I've never seen one in person....
Thanks!

The tartan in my car is a cloth, not a pattered vinyl. 1980 Euro automatic. The interior code per Porsche is "DN" but they could not explain what that code is called. (unless of course I bought the COA, then the 'may' look into it further). I've never seen another in person, or even pictures except for the car Tony posted with the brown/cream when it was for sale. There are also pics of a red/black on google as well - that's pretty hot!.....I heard from Budd that the cloth is still available.

From an old Porsche brochure, I believe...

There were three possible color combinations available in '80-92 MY.

red-blue
green-blue
brown-beige

They were available on normal seat in manual and electric versions and cheap 911/924 seats but not for sport seat.

the brown and the red combos look sharp, but not feeling the green. Interesting stuff.

Very much an acquired taste, I must say...when I first purchased the car I was not so hot on it. But it's growing on me as in a retro-ugly-cool kind of way, especially as the car is so dead nuts euro original and the interior is in exceptional condition (a couple tears in the vinyl is the only flaw) - carpets are a dark blue-green (almost a teal) the cargo cover is Blue, ,along with the dash. Seats are 911 (a special order cost saving alternative to the standard 928 seats 'back in the day'). The Tartan does go well with the 'plain' silver exterior, though the thought has crossed my mind to go 'crazy out there' and paint the car Lindgrun...
