what a gorgeous car. i come back to thread just to look at the pics. the minerva just looks so perfect on that car, especially with the cork interior. the first thing i want to do when looking at this car is go right out and get into another '78 OB. absolutely love the simplicity of this original design.

Mine should resemble this car soon. Have an appointment with the body shop in 5 weeks to get the shell painted. Such a great color combo.

Nope, William took the car for an 1800 mile rally up in Redwoods country. Minerva is now at 178K miles and has become the go-to for vintage car rallies.

I have another Minerva car that will be going across the block at some point, trying to figure out how much to enjoy it before I get the itch for the next project.

Yes! I agree on the simplicity and "lightweightedness' of the OBs. I was after a 78 for a long time (couldnt find the right car) but happy with my early VIN '79- originally Hellblau. Posts like this excite me as I continue to restore and move closer to original color repaint. It will be a thrill to turn the car back to a cool (temperature) color from its current hot (guards red) color.
