^^ Yep, Part Duex
That 2nd screw that goes behind the wires, closer to the door, is a bit of a B to get in. Lots of stuff in the way, so keep the door open and work from the inside (a wee bit easier if your seats are out).
Ditto. I made the long walk down to the office in my basement to do this one. I'm exhausted. Nap commencing soon.

Thanks Dan! Holler the next time you can make it to lunch at Blake's.

With all the research I did and seeing pictures of how 928s came off the production line, I don't recall those cars quite as "gifted" in the height department, lol! I think Minerva is simply as pumped up as we are!
Such as it was, still a thrill to verify Minerva has 5 forward and 1 reverse gear, stops, starts and sounds pretty darn cool!

Nice maiden voyage without any proverbial icebergs along the way, grant, she may have gone right over any...with the typical pre-shakedown ground clearences.
Congratulations, on a major milestone in restoration...the first drive.
Brian.

Nordschleife Master
Good luck on the headlight adjusters.
It's a pretty simple system, but getting it right is a lot harder than you'd think.
I tried mine a couple years ago, but never got it to work. I think the lines are leaking.

Had poorly behaved door lock cylinders, took them apart to find a broken tang in one of them. Picked up a spare cylinder from Mark, and moved the tumblers from the bad cylinder to the good used one. You can see its intact 'tang' at 12 o'clock on the cylinder on the left:
Cleaned 39 years of petrified crap and pocket lint out of the locks:
Meanwhile, rear seats went in:

Random walks and closeups from yesterday:
I continue to dislike bodywork- not sure how the factory ever put one of these cars together in anything approaching an efficient manner.
Front bumper beading-
Front bumper locknuts under the headlight bar- easy peasy with the right tool(s):
Front bumper came back from paint with the washer nozzle slots partially filled in. Nothing like a hacksaw to your freshly painted cover:
Hood details:
Driver's side nozzle hose orientation:
Passenger side:
Rear bumper foglamp and license plate light harness 928 612 039 00 (Minerva has no foglamp, of course, but the wiring is there..)
Original hood badge cleaned up:
