How could they ask 44 grand....
....and not even have the "jumper post cover" ?

Well, at least post cap is there. Car looks really clean though. Nice dash. Suprised at the asking price though. Hope it sells !
Anyone here own it?
The more I look at the price, the more I think someones spouse forced them to "put it on ebay". LOL. Then he/she can at least say they "tried" to sell it as they really wanted to keep it.

A big V8 Autobahn bomber, the 928 was far more civilized than the 911, boasting big comfortable seats, power everything, usually an automatic transmission and all the Star Wars/Reagan era futuristic design elements that a successful 1980’s man could ask for.

$44,000 with 90K miles - why even bother writing the add - just a complete waste of time -
There is a RED GTS also on ebay right now for $49,500 - that is a little more realistic.

When a prime GTS is asking $125k and a prime S4 is asking $30k, we have a disjoint market. By price alone, the S4 is *not* 1/4th the car a GTS is. The S4 is 90% of what a GTS is and priced significantly below market in my opinion. Which is why I picked one up LOL.

Or is the gts way over priced?
$125k is serious Ferrari territory. Let's face it Ferrari 550>any 928.
Who here would rather have a 928gts over a Ferrari 550?
Not to mention you could buy 2003 or so Vanquish for less than $50k with less than 30k miles.
If the gts is worth $125k, than the S4 is worth at least $40k.
Just my 2 cents.

At this level, dealing in sports cars of this caliber, these things are subjective. I am not a stats guy. That isn't why I am a 928 owner. I am into the total package of ride, build quality, looks, performance and so forth. Nobody will seriously argue that the F550 isn't a great car, but from a visceral level, I am a 928 guy and would never buy a 550.

I have nothing but respect for your comments. Me on the other hand though I love the 928(obviously) would take the Ferrari 550 over the 928gts any day, every day...

I would be way too fearful of the maintenance on the 550, but if that weren't an issue...I'd probably have to take it as well...
