I am nearly there. Shop said about three more weeks and it will be back together.
Looks way better in person.

Shop flared the fenders by hand with metal smithing tools. I think they turned out nice. Took the car to bare metal before painting. Deleted rub strips. I can't wait!

Nice! That's gonna look bad-to-the-bone when it's all together.

Kind of wondering though, why did they go through the bother of removing all of the lights from the front bumper? Plus, if they remove the pivot arm and headlight bucket mount, which is four bolts total, they will have a much easier time remounting the front rubber piece. The three mounting nuts and washers along the top edge of the rubber piece, just above and behind those headlight brackets...are a freaking bastar* to get at.

I took the lights out of the front bumper because the fog light aiming adjuster is broken on one of the lights and once I got started I figured just take them all out. Got carried away.

Jeff, are you bringing your newly painted car to Third Coast this year?

It's back together and in my shop now for lights and interior panel installation.
It looks really good. So glad the rub strips are gone.

In case any one wonders what a paint job costs I'll post the invoice in the next post.
