Odd combination of symptoms.
Describe in detail the 'problem with the interior scroll lighting button'.
Sounds like a ground issue.
Check ALL of your grounds for good measure. https://rennlist.com/forums/928-foru...e-cleaned.html
You don't want any that look like this.

Check the earth connection for the marker light.

Sounds as if you are describing the instrument panel light dimmer control - a roller switch under the dash. The lights are not bright enough for most people, so they will just connect the wires at the switch so as to get full brightness on the lights.

try spraying Deoxit onto the rotary dial under the dash this should make the lights bright again,
same goes for the rear side markers ,
they have connectors that lay in the rear edge floor of the hatch,
take these apart and use the juice

Or...you can detach the Black and the two Black/Blue wires from the dimmer rheostat device, and attach all of them together. You will bypass any resistance in the device and have the maximal illumination you can get whenever you turn the lights on.
Still service your grounds and all bulb circuitry/sockets.
