Accelleration hesitation at low RPM
Greetings, I'm still a relatively new member and new to 928 ownership. I have a ton of questions but will try and curb my enthusiasm until I've had a chance to scour the archives first.
One issue I could use help with... I've noticed that under acceleration from 1000 - 2500 RPM the car feels like it is hesitating under partial throttle. The hesitation is light and feels like the engine runs a little rough compared to how it feels about 3000 RPM. The problem is less noticeable under WOT accelerations. This seems to be more persistent in 1st and 2nd gear where the torque needs are greater.
I've checked around the archives a bit and this seems like MAF issues, but those refer to hesitation at higher RPMs. Seems to me like a poor performing MAF would create mixture problems (hesitation) at any RPM. Any thoughts?
Other than that, I love the car, it's exactly what I was looking for in my quest for another retro driver. Other gremlins I'll be chasing down include:
- HVAC air temp mixer always mixing hot (can't shut off hot flap/valve)
- no reverse lockout on 928 motorsport short shifter
- trunk release activates but does not 'release' lid (key required).
- Dash Voltage gauge shows 12 - 10 volts while driving.
I'll be looking in the archives for these solves but if you want to chime in, please do.
