Default Sway Bar Bushing Lubricant

I'm going to be replacing my Sway Bar Rubber Bushings, and the WSM recommends MolyKote U. But that's pretty darn expensive (and would eat into my budget for other fun stuff).

My research indicates that Rubber to Metal lubrication should be done with a silicon-based lubricant, so I was considering something like this.

Heat resistant up to 400, harsh chemical resistant and pretty easy on the pocketbook. Anything wrong or better I should consider?

Ummm. What is bear grease? Google only refers to a hair treatment product, and I'm assuming that's not what we are talking about here.

The Molykote product is a lot stickier and thicker than silicone grease, and will last/perform better in retaining a lubricating film, than the relatively thinner silicone grease. The Molykote is also more suitable, in that it will retain a film thickness for much longer under the extreme loads encountered with suspension roll, where the bar/bushings are highly loaded.

Nothing wrong with using the silicone, but it's used more commonly for O-ring/gasket lubrication on pumps, taps, plumbing fittings, etc, etc, where its principal function is to allow movement without galling the gasket or O-ring; and there is usually little or no radial load. If you use the silicone you might just have to apply a little more often.

I think Randy might have got a little excited and confused at the mention of lubrication, and bear grease is what he uses for extra curricular horizontal dancing activities

Oops, I ****ed this one up big time I guess. The apparently total absence of uibrication when I took this apart made me wonder if I could lubricate the sway bar before positioning the rubber mountings. I used graphite powder.
BTW, I am impressed with the automatic spelling checker of this site
