Chicago Suburban area GTG Sept. 5th or 6th
Lets get together for a Chicago area GTG im thinking Sept. 5th or 6th 2-3pm. Since we have nothing in the area scheduled
Lets see if we can get some buzz going. St. Charles or nearby would be good maybe at Just Kabobs if you never had youll love it. Open to suggestions like Tilted Kilt or Hooters. Lets do something. Chime in with suggesions please.

Hi Rich,
September 5th there is a monthly car show, Supercar Saturdays. This one will be held at the Bolingbrook Promenade. The show runs from 9:00 a.m. to noon. Always a lot of interesting cars, including the occasional 928. Check out the website:

If others are interested, we could stake out an area for local 928s to gather.

Bumping to page one to make sure that our Chicago area 928 owners see Rich's thread. Does anyone have any other suggestions, or do we want to try to meet at the Supercar Saturday gathering on September 5th?

Hi guys!
I'm one of the people that helps run Supercar Saturdays, Doug I saw your 928 roll in, reminded me of Rob Edwards' 89 GT, very clean. I'm a big fan of these cars, if you guys get there early and roll in together you should be able to get some prime parking. I can't promise to hold spaces since that quickly spirals out of control, but arriving before 7:30am together should get you into the main drag. Should be a great show, we've been pulling 500+ cars at the two events we've held there so far this year.
Cheers,
Brendon

This is a "Cars and Coffee" style meet, and one of the largest in the country. What makes our show unique is the sheet variety of cars that come out. You could be parked next to anything, be it a 458 Italia, or a 1971 Honda Civic (seriously, there's a really nice one that always comes to the Bolingbrook events).
100% free, but there's no judging/prizes, just not our style. For food there are a couple of restaurants in the outdoor mall, plus a Starbucks for your morning energy fix.
Highly encourage you all to RSVP at http://supercarsaturdays.com/rsvp_login.asp to get up to date information and help us run a smooth event. (We don't spam or sell info, event related messages ONLY).
Cheers!

I'm a few miles north of the venue, so I'll just be heading straight there.
Anyone have any parts they are looking to sell?
I've got a brand new interior switch for the rear hatch and a used Shift Gate from 928MS...

So how many cars are registered so far for the event? My '82 is still at the upholsterer's shop. Hopefully it will be done by Friday...
