Oh, it will be way more than $1000.. You will have to think about gas at $7/gal, and hotel, lodging and airfare plus some $$ for the biergarten
I was referring to the car transport charge alone, I am well aware of vacation travel expenses. I'm not some noob,

I honestly didn't think this was a serious idea at first. There's no way I could do that any time soon, but damn...bucket list item indeed!

You're also added to the list! Bring the pantera, no problem!

No problem, just clarifying as the statement was not specific.

Expect problems on many SC etc aftermarket setups. Very few kits are engineered well enough to be able to take fast autobahn driving for long time. It's very different thing to do flatout for just 1/4 mile than go through full tank at 120+ mph.

Expect for much more trafic than anyone would hope. 4AM is about only time when there is plenty of space on the roads. Do not expect to be able to go fast anywhere near any major city. Best places are rural areas like A20 east of Lubeck.

Dear Vilhuer,

You're ruining my future video revenue from the spectacular fireworks display of these modified 928's by amateurs.!!!

Oh, I know some roads near Lübeck, actually, the one to Puttgarten is pretty good for the speed runs as well. Also since the A1 has been redone, it's great after midnight to HH. But the A24 is still my favorite.

Hey, maybe the European RL 928 owners can also join the treffen and we can all have a great time together??

What say you to that idea??

It's been few years since my last trip to Nurburgring so any reason to go to Germany sounds like good idea. Only problem is I usually do not have working 928, at least not my own. Lately even loaners I have used in the past have been in pieces. Three 32V engines, four manual gearboxes, three suspensions etc waiting to be rebuild at the moment and list only gets longer. Just had to turn down three more engine rebuild as there simply isn't enough hours in a day. So it's somewhat douptful if I can make it as much fun as it would be. I'm sure some europeans would be very interested.

Trip to Germany would be awesome, it would probably be cheaper to rent this place in Texas:

7.7 mile oval.

You might be surprised. Track rentals are quite pricey. Can an individual even rent that space?

not to be argumentative but these guys found some nice road and there are plenty more video's like it from all over the system, I thought I had posted this before, anyway EDIT: my advice to anyone doing this would be for upgraded and perfectly functioning brakes.
